Early morning depart for Shimla by road. Shimla is one of the finest hill resorts of India and the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Situated at an altitude of 6,900ft, Shimla was converted into a hill resort by the British and was the summer capital of India at the time. Overnight stay at a hotel in Shimla.
After breakfast, drive to Sarahan. It is a wonderful little village located amidst lush green and beautiful surroundings of Deodar forests. Visit the historical Bhimakali temple, having an unusual architecture and wealth of carvings. Overnight stay at Sarahan.
Depart from Sarahan, delving deeper into the breathtakingly beautiful Kinnaur and Spiti Valleys. Arrive Sangla which is a picturesque little village famous for its trout fishing possibilities. Sangla is also known for the impressive and historical Kamru Fort, which has now been dedicated to the Kamakshi Temple.
Drive to Kalpa en-route cross Powari and proceed to Recong Peo (7 Km). Both places have the most stupendous settings in all of Himachal Pradesh. Enjoy a spectacular view of the mighty Kinnaur Kailash Mountain Ranges from anywhere up the road. Dinner and overnight in tents at Kalpa
Drive from Powari to Ribba to Puh to Khab - the point where two rivers, Tabo and Sutlej merge, producing the resounding sound. Navigate the hairpin bends and drive on paved road till Yangthang. From Yangthang the road condition also deteriorates till Chango. From Chango drive to Sumdo to Hoorling and finally to Tabo. Visit Tabo monastery. It has some of the best-preserved examples of Indo-Tibetan art remaining in the world. Dinner and overnight in the tent.
Leave for Kaza about 47 Km from Tabo and then to Kibber. Visit the scenic Kibber Village and the famous Ki-Monastery. Ki is the oldest and largest Gompa in Spiti having a spectacular location. Later, drive down to Rangrik and then to Hanse. Arrive Losar in the evening. Dinner and overnight camping at Losar
Enjoy an early morning ride up to Kunzumla Pass (4,551 m) & then proceed to visit the picturesquely beautiful Chander Tal Lake (4,270m), about 12 Km from the Pass. Thereafter, drive to Batal-Chhatru-Gramphoo and then to Tandi. Dinner and overnight in the Drilbu Retreat, Tandi.
Drive to Jispa-Darcha and proceed through the hairpin bends entering into the Higher Himalayan Range. Then, proceed to Baralacha La. Descend down to arrive at Bharatpur. Continue the drive to finally arrive at Sarchu. Dinner and overnight in tents at Sarchu.
Today, you will enjoy a long but pleasurable ride from Sarchu to Leh. Drive through the Lachung La Pass (5,060m), and Pang. Later, cross Tanglang La and Rumtse before arriving at Leh, the saddle of Buddhist Culture. Dinner and overnight in the hotel in Leh.
Sightseeing of Leh including visit to Sankar monastery, Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace. Overnight at the hotel in Leh.
Visit Hemis Monastery - the largest and the wealthiest monastery in Ladakh. Visit Thiksey Monastery. Continue the drive to visit Shey Palace - the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh. Overnight at the hotel in Leh.
Ride to the world's highest motorable road, Khardung La. At 18,380 feet (5,602m), the ride will take a few hours of climbing out of Leh. Capture the unforgettably beautiful view in your camera at the top, and then ride down into the beautiful Nubra Valley. Tonight stay in Silk Route Cottages for dinner and overnight stay.
From Nubra Valley, drive back to Khardung La and then to Leh. Overnight stay at Hotel in Leh.
Early morning transfer to the airport to connect your flight to New Delhi.
